Today is my mother's actual birthday--she is 90 years young. We celebrated the milestone with family in Round Rock. There were 21 of us there--that includes all four daughters, two of three son-in-laws, seven of thirteen grandchildren, two of seven "grandchildren-in-law" and five of nine great grandchildren. Those who could not be present definitely sent their birthday wishes. Mother has shown us all how to enjoy each day as it passes--the four of us girls just hope for the same genetics! Happy Birthday, Mom, and may you have many more! Here's a picture of just the Grandchildren and Great grandchildren...Aren't they a good looking bunch!
These were the two youngest. Abby is Mark and Melissa's youngest and Joey is Karen and Jerome's youngest (to today...as you know, she expecting the debut of baby number three).
With the baby coming soon, I've spent quite a bit of time with Karen, Jerome, Stephen and Joseph...in preparation! For those of you who haven't seen our little mommy, check out this picture of Stephen giving "the baby" a kiss!
And how about this picture of those good looking boys with their dad! Jerome is going to need another hand soon.
There's so much more...but I've run out of time for the moment. Hope you enjoy these few pictures. I'll try to do better as the days go by. Peace.

There’s been some discussion about Shiloh’s age in human years. Well, I have to tell you that the issue is rather confusing. Check out http://www.snopes.com/critters/wild/dogyears.asp. Even snopes agrees that no one chart works for every breed. I totally agree with snopes...so...what to do, what to do...If you believe that large breeds age faster than smaller breeds, a site called Blinddog has the best conversion chart (it’s based on weight). Shiloh is 77 according to that chart(http://blinddog.info/dogages.html. It's the site I used. There really is a big difference of opinion on the subject. Human ages for 12 year old dogs go from a high of 89 (trying to keep up with Maw-Maw) to a low of 61 (she's gotta be younger than Bernard!). I guess we could use an average--75.
I guess when all is said and done, no matter HOW you figure it, we all agree: Shiloh's still a "pretty good puppy" in a "senior citizen" kind of way!

Our girl, Shiloh, is officially 12 years old--in dog years. That's 77 in human terms. Ah yes, Shiloh IS a senior citizen. To honor the day, we had a little celebration. Here are some of the pictures for you to enjoy.
Check out the birthday cake Lauren "baked"! We did have a few surprises for the birthday girl.
Shiloh seemed to enjoy her day, her gifts and her cake! She's definitely a good pup.

I'm not good at updating this page, but the kids do a great job. Here are some pictures with links to their sites (I do have links on the right side of THIS page just in case you haven't noticed...)Claire has just started a blog for the Howletts...here's a teaser picture to use as a link.
Many of you have already discovered Dave's website...just in case, here are a couple of photos and a link.
(Incidentally, these are Big Horn River trout...both caught on flies. It's Laura's FIRST fly fishing success!)
The Foss Family has their own blog as well. You can check out the adventures of their growing family.
As for Lauren, you'll have to sign up on Facebook or My Space...she's ALL 21st century.
I'm trying to be better, but for now...this is the best I can do! ENJOY!

We were so lucky to have Dave and Laura here for a few days. They're on the road again...to North Carolina. I can't believe, they were here for four days and we never took a single picture. That just should never happen. It was a wonderful visit. Now they're on to their next great adventure!Dave is doing a great job keeping everything updated on his website, so do check it. (Just in case you need a quick link, click HERE).
