On the road again…
By: Lauren Dubell
They are back at it again: Dorothy and Bernard have hit the road and are (finally) traveling north to Montana. After several weeks away from the nest, they are coming home to see how many plants I killed while house-sitting. It is true. I was born with a brown thumb instead of green. To my credit, I have only killed a small percentage of my mom’s plants. She has a freakin’ jungle growing in their house and it can be overwhelming.
Keeping up with their travel plans is mind blowing. I’ll try to outline the travels in a Reader’s Digest-friendly version. They have been gone for several weeks (going on months). As I have said before, it must be nice to be retired!
After my mom finished all that she could do with Karen in Pennsylvania, she hopped a ride with David and Laura to North Carolina. She spent a couple of days with her grand-dog (Bruno) and then jumped on a plane to Texas. She arrived in Corpus Christi and immediately began her time with the Krnavek side. She later spent some time with her sister, Pat, and eventually headed to Austin to visit her mother and sisters Janet and Katy. My dad and Jessie were her chauffeurs, of course. They have since headed to New Mexico and are currently visiting fellow newly-weds, James and Janie Brezina.
My dad and Jessie were pretty easy to track! They headed strait down to Jerry’s retreat in Corpus with my dad’s friend Dave and stayed there to fish themselves blind. Jessie quickly made friends around town and took a special liking to Cooney. Unfortunately, he did not fall in love with her back. Everyone headed up to Mikey and Kathy’s house in Concan where Jessie then took a liking to a golf cart. She has been an amazing traveling dog, but I am sure she will be excited to come home and play with the best, most adorable dog in the world (Maggie Joy Roseanne Cash Dubell).
In the meantime, I figure I can share with you a few of the pictures I received on my phone throughout their travels. Maybe, just maybe, she will take the reins on this website when she returns. Then again, she is retired…

This Easter, the Foss Family (daddy Jerome, mama Karen, biggest brother Stephen, big brother Joseph, middle brother Kolbe, little brother Timothy, and littlest brother Paul) hosted a wonderful Easter weekend! They had with them Dorothy (or as they refer to her, Nana), Uncle “Doody” Dave, “Titi” Laura, and cousin Bruno. Click HERE to see Karen’s photos!
Karen Foss: New Contender for TLC’s 18 and Counting…
By: Lauren Dubell
It is true. My sister has officially produced the FIFTH Foss boy for her rapidly growing family. Karen has been doing my grandmother Annie very proud with her fertility. You know, Karen always loved rabbits when we were growing up… no wonder there are so many babies in that family!
Let me be the one to formally welcome to the family Mr. Paul Bernard Foss, born on March 21, 2012. He is a handsome, young chap, so I think he fits right in with this dangerously good-looking crew. Paul was welcomed by his brothers, Stephen Anthony, Joseph Thomas, Kolbe Augustine, and Timothy James (in order from oldest to youngest). They all loved him instantly–but can you really blame them?
My mom was able to spend several weeks with Karen to help prepare for baby. Dorothy was an incredible help and watched the four older boys in order to allow Jerome to stay with Karen and Paul at the hospital for a couple nights. I know that Karen and Jerome appreciated the help and support more than I could ever imagine (I mean, sometimes I get overwhelmed with my dog–I could never imagine having 5 kids!).
Puppy Power!
My dad is out fishing, so I decided to kidnap his dog, Jessie. It came to my attention that the world of krnaveks.com has not actually had a chance to meet this spoiled rotten pot-licker. Let me formally introduce you to the one and only, Jessie Jane Krnavek… and her best friend Maggie Joy Rosanne Cash Dubell.

Must be nice to be retired!
By Lauren Dubell
My mother is at it again! Karen is due, ready to pop in March (but I’m hoping for a leap year baby). Leave it to Dorothy to pack up her bags and take care of my sister the last month or so of this pregnancy! Here are a few pictures so you can see the dangerously handsome family
Keep Karen in your thoughts and prayers! Having 4 boys under the age of six can’t be easy while pregnant with your 5th!

Another One Bites The Dust…
By: Lauren Dubell
It’s official. I have gotten married, thus losing one more “Krnavek” to a slightly less cool name (no offense, darling, but there aren’t enough consonants in a row). I know that this is shocking for most that I found someone who could handle me (it was even more of a feat if you see the dangerously handsome man that said “I do”), but it is true. After several years of dating, Chuck and I tied the knot… FINALLY!
What is even MORE shocking is that Dorothy left her visit to Australia early and Bernard skipped out on the opening season of hunting to attend the event. In fact, every brother and sister made an appearance from the Krnavek clan… and they made quite the impression. Thanks to newly-wed James Brezina’s potent moonshine, the party got pretty interesting pretty quickly.
There were real life games of “angry birds” being played with the decorations. An abnormal number of dances were made up on the spot. We were greeted with airplanes when we arrived and rolled out of the place on a decorated luggage cart! It. Was. Awesome.
For all of you who could not attend, please feel free to check out my online albums by clicking any of the pictures! If any of you did attend, please email me your pictures.

So sorry…
I hate breaking promises, but the one I broke from the last post was a big one. I am so sorry. But…USUAL LAME EXCUSE: We’ve been so busy!
After two month in Australia with Claire and her family, I’m back for a while. Now we’re busy helping Lauren with the final stages of the wedding plans…plus finishing off the remodeling we’d planned long ago! The best laid plans… It’s more than hectic around here, but I do plan on getting back “on schedule” next month. Have faith. With God, all things are possible (even though this seems more like a miracle).
