Last Pictures from Texas

  • January 22, 2007 1:03 pm

We've had a wonderful time here in Texas. Because of weddings and retirement parties, we were able to visit with a lot of people we don't usually get to see. This should catch everyone up on where we've been and what we've been doing.

I can't resist putting these pictures first…they are bits and pieces but they represent some wonderful times! Wonder if you'll be able to guess who the “favorite is…

On January 13, Larry and Sandy hosted a fantastic reception celebrating Linette and Aaron's wedding–though I understand that Linette was the “party planner”. There are no pictures from the Church–it was beautiful and I didn't want to disturb anyone. I didn't do as good a job as Lauren would have–there were just so many people to visit. Here's a picture of the bride and groom–I know it's not very good, but there are pictures of some of the party-goers linked.

Bernard got one last fishing trip in on Saturday, January 20. For most of our time in Texas, the weather was probably its worst–wet and cold. But that's all forgotten now–Bernard and Jerry were able to get out and there was one nice redfish waiting for him.

Our last BIG event in Texas was Johnny's Retirement party in Refugio. The guys has a dinner the day before but this party was for family and friends. Johnny and Gwen know how to celebrate–everyone had a great time!

Part Two of our Christmas/ New Year Holiday

  • January 14, 2007 7:28 pm

We've had a wonderful two weeks since Christmas 2006. Leaving Billings on the 27th, the three of us, Bernard, Dorothy AND Lauren, traveled first to Waco and had Christmas AND New Year celebrations with Karen, Jerome and Stephen.

Dave and Laura arrived on January 2 and we had MORE celebrations! There were issues with luggage, but everything else was wonderful. From Waco we went on to Corpus Christi.

The pictures you link to here are from Lauren's albums. We'll add to them when we get home. Happy New Year to all of you!
