Moo-Moo's home!
So Mom got released from the hospital Wednesday afternoon, and she was definitely ready to come home. She's feeling pretty good (probably thanks to all the pills she's taking), and will probably be hitting the phone circuit soon. So stay tuned…
Thanks again for all the prayers!
Almost Home!
Mama Dotty should be coming home Wednesday! Thank you all again for your support and prayers! We cannot WAIT to have her at home!
She had a bit of a rough night last night (Monday night). During the day she had one of the last tubes pulled out so she was able to move much better. She is currently getting in and out of bed basically by herself! She was moving around so much that I think she may have overdone it a bit. The doctors decided to keep her in the hospital another night, but I have faith she will be home on Wednesday.
I am new to this web-technology, so I
UPDATE ON DOROTHY!
Now, I am no doctor, but I will do the best to explain what I know. Doctor friends, please feel free to correct me! I asked as many questions as I could to try to gain an understanding, but I am in no way pretending I know what happened!
As many as you know, my mom had her aortic valve replaced and a tube put in her aorta. Before they opened her up, they believed her aortic valve was just narrowing. I kept telling her that her heart kept growing with each grandson that the valve could not keep up! While I maintain the truth in my statement, I will try to explain her situation in layman
Update…and some pictures
OK…many of you know that I'll be having heart surgery this week. I have every confidence in my doctor and the recovery rate is 99%. With that being said, I ask for your prayers for the rest of the family. I'll probably sleep through the surgery–they have to do the waiting! I am very blessed to have found out about the problem before an “event” occurred. The Lord must know I have a lot more to do in this world…and I fully intend to take advantage of His gift of days.
It's taken me a while to get the rest of our pictures for you all to see. Here are the links to a few of our special January celebrations:
How about the Fabulous Foss Family–you can click on this picture to see just SOME of the fun we had while in Waco this past January. Oh the joy of being a grandparent!
Karen and the boys brought to life FOSSY BEAR while we were there. This special bear was gifted to Isaac–from three cousins to another. If you click on their picture it should take you to some pictures of that event!
My sister, Pat, had a very special birthday this year. Her husband, Martin, got the ball rolling and, together with his daughters-in-law, organized and pulled off a wonderful SURPRISE party! We were so delighted to be able to celebrate with all the families…Mother, sisters, friends, and more friends. It was a wonderful time. Click on the picture of the lovely couple for a few more pictures…
