The faces of summer
Going through our summer pictures, I realized how many wonderful pictures we had and how they reflected our summer so well. There's joy and sorrow, silliness and seriousness, the sweet and, yes, the not so sweet. The faces paint a good picture of our summer! So, here is a slide montage of some of those faces we love. Enjoy!
What a summer!
We have had a FANTASTIC summer, there's no doubt about it! It started out simply with Karen and Jerome coming to Billings for the summer. Somehow, we convinced them that they should leave the heat of Texas and come to Montana. Jerome could study for his “Comprehensive Exams” and we could enjoy the boys (and Jerome and Karen too, of course). Well, Claire and Craig realized the difference in airline prices from our summer (their winter) to Christmas (prime summer time in Australia) and Craig could get some time off. Suddenly, we saw the possibility of a summer “reunion”. Dave was able to take two weeks during the time everyone else was here although, sadly, we couldn't arrange for Laura to come. By July 15th, all four Krnavek Kids were here with almost all the family! …and we tried to DO IT ALL! From rafting on the river to spending time at the Brown's cabin; fly fishing to hiking; fun at the Reef, a local indoor water park, to fun in the water at parks and the backyard. We celebrated birthdays and belated birthdays, anniversaries, and lots of happy days. A good friend of ours came and took “professional photos” of the group…I've taken the liberty of using one as the link to an album of selected pictures. I will warn you, there are over two hundred–but they are some of the best. Check them out at your own risk…they are reminders to us of the wonderful memories we made.
